The Local Area
On a peninsula on the southern reaches of Lake Macquarie, Gwandalan
provides you with a water playground for swimming, boating, fishing
and water-skiing.
Lake Macquarie is Australia’s largest coastal saltwater lake
and is approximately four times the size of Sydney Harbour.
Locally there is the Hunter Valley Vineyards within an hour’s
drive. Sample the local produce, take a tour through the vineyards or
just enjoy the magnificent scenery.
By night take a water taxi and dine out al fresco at one of the many
waterfront restaurants on Lake Macquarie.

How to Get There
- 64 Gamban Road, Gwandalan NSW
- Follow the F3 Freeway north past the Gosford and Wyong exits.
- After you pass the Warnervale exit (Sparks Road) take the next exit
for Budgewoi / Swansea Charlestown.
- Follow the Pacific Highway 16.5 km.
- Turn left at the Summerland Point/Gwandalan set of lights into Kanangra
Drive.
- Then turn right into Parraweena Road and follow all the way to Gamban
Road.
- At the T intersection turn left into Gamban Road, Gwandalan (Bowling
Club on the right).
